Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is truly a lodge where the angler and non angling companion can both find what they are looking for in a vacation together. Anglers staying at Playa Blanca explore Espiritu Santo Bay where Permit, Bonefish, Tarpon and Snook may be pursued on beautiful flats. Playa anglers also fish Laguna Santa Rosa where bonefish abound on interior flats, or fly anglers can explore an extensive backcountry looking for Baby Tarpon that haunt the hidden bays and rivers of this lagoon system. Exceptional fly fishing opportunities await at Playa Blanca for anglers looking for a little more solitude during their fishing adventure.
Ascension Bay Permit
The lodge is also an ideal place for the non-angler. There are many activities to fill a day including, snorkeling, canoeing, sea kayaking, beach combing, eco-tours, Mayan ruins tours, massage, or just sitting under the beach palapa in front a gentle blue ocean protected by exterior reefs, with a cold drink, and your favorite book.
Fishing days end with angler and non-angler reacquainted in time for a swim, or a siesta before cocktail hour on the rooftop bar where applause worthy sunsets are a perfect lead-in for an amazing dinner of fresh seafood served with a Mexican flair.
Playa Blanca and the private bungalow Casa Redonda are the perfect retreats for families, couples and fly anglers that want that extra touch of privacy and attention while having world class fly-fishing at your finger tips! Silver Creek Outfitters has extensive experience at Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca and we can help you with everything from fly choice and getting you with the right guide, to making sure your non-angling companion has an equally wonderful experience.

A Tarpon Tale Sep 29, 2006
Yucatan Peninsula - My eyes are telling my brain that a fifteen pound Baby Tarpon just ate a Monarch Butterfly off of the water’s surface in the backcountry of Ascension Bay, in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. In the same instance my brain is telling the muscles in my arm to deliver my fly two feet left of the butterfly.
