Consistent hatches all season long make this an angling destination sought out by many a traveling angler, and one worth booking well in advance. The vistas throughout the valley are inspiring as you look past the dormant Lanin Volcano into the Chilean side of the Andes. Large Rainbows and Browns fill the river and feed consistently on the rivers hatches. Many “fish of a lifetime” have been caught on the Malleo.
The attentive staff is one of the first things noticed by guests staying at this traditional Argentine Estancia. The hospitality is also first rate as guests are made to feel at home and part of the family here by Ronny and Carmen Olsen, who have treated many Silver Creek Outfitters guests to memorable stays. The lodge facility is large and comfortable. Outside, a wonderful patio is the centerpiece, surrounded by wood fired hot tub, various shady retreats, and wonderful picnic areas where midday meals are very filling and a perfect match with the midday siesta. Inside the main facility, a large banquet room and bar fill the comfortable upstairs loft, and below resides a comfortable dinning area and access to the lodge rooms.

The Malleo river and the whole valley are quite breathtaking, for more adventure mix in some Malleo fishing with some lake fishing for big Brook Trout near the national forest and tour the amazing geography on the approach to the Lanin Volcano. Horseback riding, trekking and endless photo and artistic opportunities are also great options in this incredible valley.
